xp with sp3 slow to load

When I boot up my computer it loads the screen saver and Takes forever to fully load the desk top and task bar

The problem appeared to start after down loading AVG updates

I have since removed AVG and have scaned the computer with malwarebites and with Ccleaner I the have run Spybot which did turn up some threats which have now been removed

The machine appears to work fine in Safe mode quite snappy

Hello Planes,

In case you missed it please see the FAQ which includes guidelines for this forum and instructions in post #2 on how to provide the preliminary "DDS" logs used for analysis, if the machine in question is a personal computer.

Then you'd need to start a new topic providing the logs requested.
