YouTube and UBO with FireFox

Well, I asked around a bit, and it seems Firefox and IE are the same speed, but IE is buffed up on security as FireFox isn't.

I commonly visit those two sites up there.

www(dot)youtube(dot)com and

www(dot)ultimatebaseballonline(dot)come (a computer game)

Both sites have those advertising sites. :/ With firefox, is it a good idea to go to both of those sites?

Not all advertisements or videos are bad, but indeed the way some are delivered and what they contain is definitely a concern. As a Google search on: 'utube zango spyware myspace' shows.

On another note, as you have been researching browsers. If you haven't already, take a look at Jesper's blog. He writes about the protocol handling exploit for which FireFox was patched yesterday: http://msinfluentials.com/blogs/jesper/

Regardless of the browser one uses, be careful and stay patched with all security up to date.

Thanks tashi, unfortunately a Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.5 (maybe another.0) update hasn't been out, at least not one I know of.

I got the new FireFox, is this a lot safer as I.E.? I read the changes, and apparently it is, but I want to know by some of the members of the help team and all.

for me firefox works faster and better for me
