Live Protection driver fail

Suffering The Same Issue

I have followed all the guidelines and all the advice given in the thread so far and I still can not install Live Protection. Anyone come up with a reliable solution?

Hello,

This is the information I was given.

We apologise for the inconvenience.

We are currently looking into this issue and have prepared a fix which we hope to include with the next Spybot updates but for now you can download and install it manually.

Please download the installer then run it to install the new Live Protection files.

You can download the Live Protection fix using the link below:
https://download.spybot.info/Spybot.../spybotsd2-install-live-protection-update.exe

Once the file has downloaded, please run the file.

Click “Yes” when prompted by the User Account Control.

The installer will open and then download and install the Live Protection files.

You will then be prompted to reboot your system for the changes to take affect.

Please restart your PC then let us know if Live Protection is now active.

I have just bought a home license today and get the error “Live Protection System Driver could not be installed”.
I tried to uninstall / install several times, but nothing changed.
Finally, I followed the process on that post, and it is working now

I also have tried everything stated within this forum including the fix mentioned above. I still have not been able to get Live Protection installed and working. I only bought my licence today.

test results and query

at first after running the test, the icon still said live protection off, but then on the slptv2 i clicked "start live protection" again and the icon switched to live protection on. I did not reboot yet, but from first try, the slptv2 app fixed problem for me.

AFAIK, the problem was resolved about a year ago. Don't change versions. Do contact Support directly.

So I de-installed Spybot. Then I created a local admin account. then I reinstalled and live protection works! I feel safer already.
