Malware Help Please!

Hello,

Thanks for taking the time to help me!!!
I believe my computer is infected with some kind of malware, perhaps Zlob.Downloader.
My computer seems to be running fine other than the fact that a Virus Alert
pops up at the bottom right of my screen every few minutes stating that I have a Critical Virus. Also, when I restart my computer, a folder called System32, located in C:WINDOWS, opens up automatically.
Initially I ran Spybot Search and Destroy (Version 1.4) and it detected 2 viruses that could not be deleted (one being the Zlob.Downloader), but once I rebooted it a couple of times and performed more scans, it deleted them completely and the final scans came up clean!!! However, the Virus Alert still keeps popping up.

Then I found your site and followed the instruction that Tasha, a member of team spybot, had posted. I updated Spybot, ran the Panda Online Scan, ran Spybot in Safe Mode and downloaded HiJackThis log!

After following these instructions and scanning repeatedly, I still have a Virus Alert popping up! If anyone could please help me it would be greatly appreciated!

Hello Laura and welcome to the forum. I am sorry for the wait, the logs are many and the volunteers are few. If you still need help, please do this:

Thanks to S!Ri, and any others who helped with this fix.

Please download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri)
Extract the content (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop.

Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.
