My Way:My Web Search

I started a thread last week saying that having done a scan with Spybot it logged up this with 30 PUPS noted. Although it does not not slow my computer down did I need to delete it?
I received a reply from 'drragostea' saying it would be a good idea to delete it and to start a new thread in Malware removal.
I did yesterday at 16.47 and now I get a reply from 'Shaba' saying that I put it in the wrong place and the forum is the place for help and I need to read the 'before you post' entry and post the required logs.
Well I read it before I started, and what is 'Hijack this' and how do I get it if I need it?
A previous thread by someone else mentioned clearing it by running Spybot in safe mode and deleting it, but I do not have a 'My Web Search' toolbar either on IE or Firefox, neither is it listed when I click on Add/Remove programs.
How should I start, where should I go for assistance?

I do not believe that Shaba indicated that you posted in the wrong place. Shaba asked you to read "BEFORE you POST"(READ this Procedure BEFORE Requesting Assistance) and to start a new thread because you failed to post the required HijackThis log in the old thread. In addition Shaba archived your thread to remove it from the active threads in the Malware Removal forum.

HijackThis is a utility that scans your registry and various other files and produces a listing of settings found in your system. If you re-read "BEFORE you POST"(READ this Procedure BEFORE Requesting Assistance) carefully, I believe you will find it has detailed instructions on downloading, running and posting the results of the HijackThis utility.
