:sad:I got rid of my norton anti virus. Is this stuff in Spybot good for protecting me from viruses as well as protecting me from spyware?

Spybot - Search & Destroy is not designed to find and remove viruses or worms. The program searches for spyware, malware, adware, trojans, hijackers and keyloggers.
