SB Immunization prevents opening PDFs

I've always been able to open PDFs with a double-click in Explorer.

Now, after activating Spybot immunization yesterday for the first time, I click a PDF title and a Spybot scan window pops up while SB apparently scans the file. Never saw this scan window before. I have only the option of clicking CLOSE when it's done scanning. Why can I not open the PDF?

How do I undo immunization for PDFs? I will have to undo immunization completely if there is no partial solution.

Further, all of a sudden I can't open Windows Task Manager -- it's grayed out in the Windows Security window. Is this related to Spybot immunization? I've used it for years and never saw it grayed out before.

Thanks for advice.

Right click on a .pdf file and look at the context menu. If the "Scan using Spybot-Search&Destroy" option is the first option in the menu, it will be executed by default if you double click on that type of file. You what "Open" as the default.

To fix the problem and still keep the "Scan using Spybot-Search&Destroy" option in the right click context menu try this suggestion posted by matt Humphreys in:
If you would like to eliminate the "Scan using Spybot-Search&Destroy" right click context menu option entirely from the context menu on all file types, see this post by Zer0 Voltage in:

Thanks for the suggestions md. I'll experiment with these.

After posting the query I tried unclicking some of the options in Immunize and it worked -- PDF clicking is back to normal. But I still don't get Windows Task Manager, which I use regularly and need. Ideas on that?

When I right-click on a PDF, "Scan Using Spybot S&D" is option 2 -- number 1 is Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0.
