Spy Bot Professional, both AV and AS turned off

Hi

I have the professional version of Spy bot S & D + AV version 2.4. The problem is that the AV and the AS protection is off. In system tray (hidden icons) when I hover the mouse over the Spy bot icon it says AV + AS: Off. I tried uninstalling and re-installing the programme but no joy. Can anyone please help?

Also, I have my laptop is running the same version of Spy Bot and its working fine, even though its connected to the same router as the PC.

Open Spybot Start Center,click Settings(say yes to the UAC prompt,if applicable),click the System Services tab.Is the Scanner Service off or uninstalled? :)
