last KAV scan was clear and McAfee only appeared to detect files related to Smitfraud fix??

You can remove Smitfraudfix from your computer, what is being identified is the tool, not malware, did you read this in the beginning?

Note: process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool". It is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

For instance: c:\Documents and Settings\Mike\Desktop\Anti-Spyware\SmitfraudFix.exe\REBOOT.EXE Generic PUP.g(Potentially Unwanted Program)
McAfee finds REBOOT.EXE as a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program) and it is part of Smitfraudfix, the program can not run without it.
